Other people's experiences
This page also notes other publicly visible reports that appear to describe a similar pattern involving visa-related payments, refund promises, and later non-payment.
In one publicly posted review, another customer stated that they paid 352,287.40 LKR to Maple Holidays Ceylon for tourist visa assistance after being promised a full refund if the visa could not be obtained. According to that review, the visa was not obtained, more than three months had passed, repeated follow-up attempts had failed, and no refund had been received. The reviewer also stated that payment records, chat history, and refund promises had been retained as evidence.
This section is included for public awareness and should be read together with the original public review and screenshot evidence retained by the site owner.
The scammer strategy
The scammer’s strategy appears to be the same every time. He first promises that everything is guaranteed and says a refund will be made if things do not go through. He then pressures you with repeated calls and messages to push you into paying quickly. After payment, he delays everything for days or even weeks at a time, giving one excuse after another.
He also tries to gain sympathy by saying a relative is ill or by giving other personal stories to keep you hopeful and soften your frustration. He keeps sending messages saying a friend is at the bank or that the payment is being arranged, but the money never arrives. In our case, when we posted public reviews, he contacted us immediately and promised a refund if we deleted them, but that refund also never happened.
Instead of giving honest updates, he kept sending repeated false reassurances to keep us waiting. That pattern made it clear that the delays were not accidental.
